What we do?
As it says on the home page we custom build
Jeeps (Only Jeeps) from “Mild to Wild” So
what does that mean? Take a look at the
section below to see what we cover and if
you do not see you can always ask!

Suspension
The suspension is normally one of the first things to be addressed
when starting with a stock Jeep, as the suspension set-up will in
some ways determine the maximum size tyres you can run on the
rig. Also how you are planning to use your Jeep to will reflect
what your needs require. If you start with the right suspension
you can add to what you have if at a later date you wish to
upgrade. At FTE 4x4 over the years we have run a few different
styles of suspension set-ups on our rigs (Wrangler TJ’s & JKU,
Cherokee XJ), which can helps us explain the pro’s and cons of
each. We can supply any make of suspension but we are the UK
dealer for Teraflex and Rubicon Express. But don’t think this makes us bias to these brands only, if
we think something will work better for your particular set-up we will recommend it.
Drive Line & Axles
These
are
often
items
that
can
be
overlooked
as
they
are
hidden
out
o
f
sight
but
are
very
important
to
the
correct
running
of
the
Jeep.
Running
the
right
ratio
ring
&
pinion
for
the
tyre
size
the
rig
is
using
can
make
a
vast
difference
in
the
performance
and
drivability.
Fitting
the
right
differential
can
make
a
big
difference
on
how
well
your
Jeep
will
preform
off-road.
Over
the
years
we
have
fitted
many
different
types
of
traction
aids
in
axles,
from
Limited
Slip
Diffs
(LSD)
to
full
manually
selectable
lockers
such
as
ARB
or
the
Eaton
Electro
Locker.
Each
one
has
its
advantages
and
disadvantages
depending
on
the
type
and
style
of
driving.
Give
us
a
call
and
have
a
chat
so
we
can
point
you
in
the right direction.
There
are
many
other
upgrades
available
for
axles
these
include
axle
shafts,
hubs,
axle
tube
seals,
U-joints to name but a few.
Another
area
that
can
be
upgraded
is
the
transfer
box,
this
includes
short
shaft
conversion
also
known
as
SYE
(Slip
Yoke
Eliminator),
internal
upgrades
such
as
2Low
which
gives
you
the
option
on
rear wheel low only (NP231).

Bumpers, Fenders, Armour, Skid Plates & Winches
One
of
the
main
items
that
transforms
the
look
of
the
Jeep
is
the
bumpers
and
in
the
case
of
the
Wrangler
fender
flares
as
well.
Basically
we
can
get
any
bumper
that
is
manufactured
we
do
not
keep
stock
as
everyone’s
tastes
are
different.
The
same
goes
for
fender
flares
if
you
take
a
look
at
the
Gallery
pages
you
will
see
what
I
mean.
An
item
that
is
often
over
looked
are
skid
plates
that
help
protect
the
underside
of
the
Jeep
and
rock
rails
that
protect
the
body.
Winches
are
a
great
add
to
a Jeep but not a necessity good recovery points are always a good add.
Wheels & Tyres
Wheels
&
tyres
have
a
massive
impact
on
the
look
of
the
Jeep
and
the
ride.
Depending
on
the
use
you
are
going
to
put
your
Jeep
to
will
help
determine
the
wheel/tyre
combination.
Again
take
a
look
at
the
Gallery
this
will
give
an
idea.
Again
we
do
not
hold
stock
of
wheels
as
if
we
had
a
1000
in
stock
you
will
most
probably
want
the
1001!
With
the
suppliers
we
use
in
the
US
we
can
get
almost
any
wheel
that
will
fit
a
Jeep.
Tyres
to
be
honest
can
be
a
pain
at
present
as
to
legally
run
tyres
on
the
road
in
the
UK
&
Europe
they
have
to
be
‘E’
Marked
which
really
limits
the
tyre
choice
we
have
in
the
UK.
Things
are
changing
and
hopefully this will open up the tyres available to us in the UK.
Lights, Roof Racks, Electrics, and Everything Else!
If
we
listed
everything
we
can
do
this
page
would
be
expectationally
long,
over
the
years
we
have
built
Jeeps
and
nothing
but
Jeeps.
When
you
take
a
look
at
the
“What
We
Sell”
page,
if
we
can
supply
it
we
can
fit.
We
can
build
custom
wiring
looms,
and
have
an
engineering
shop
so
one-off’s
are
not
a
problem.
Over
the
years
we
have
gain
many
professionals
in
certain
aspects
of
builds
these
include
a
excellent
body-shop
for
all
our
paint
requirements
and
a
powder
coaters
that
is
that
does
everything
in
house
from
the
blasting
to
the
finish.
If
it
is
an
overland
rig
you
are
looking
to
build
we
have
two
suppliers of roof racks so we can cover most bases.
